Few days back, read an interview of “Shreyas Talpade” in Sakaal. He has really done well in his short stint in BollyWood. He has acted really well in “Iqbaal”. His new film, “Dor”, is Nagesh Kukunoor’s new movie. Just like his other films, I hope this one to be good too.
Coming back to the interview, Shreyas, like many other new comers, mentioned that he has no “GodFather” in his area of work. And so he is expecting viewers to appreciate his work and keep on giving him their support and appreciation.
All the best Shreyas!
Now tell me one thing, how many times in life you faced a situation where, even after putting all your honest efforts, you fail to get proper recognition?
You end up solving really tough problems. Problems where no one had any clue, even when they are considered to be THE domain experts and you solve the problem as if you were working in that area for years? And you still do not get proper reward!!! You keep on trying to give your best, still no one notice it or may be, do not want to notice it!
I know many of you must have faced this kind of situation in your life for more than once.
There can be many reasons for you not getting the real reward. Some times, the higher authority do not want to recognize your efforts, because they either do not want you to grow as they see you as threat for them or they have some one else who is more dear than you and you can be a possible threat for him/her.
From my personal experiences, I have learned one thing. If you want to grow, you have to have a GodFather who can support you in your difficult times and who can give you the proper rewards when you are right! A guide, to show you the path of success and progress and has powers to protect your interests.
Here I am not talking about the unfair kind of GodFathers, who only see how much useful you are to them and not your work. Because with this kind of people, you may end up doing things just to keep yourself in their good books, for example, opening car door for them, even when you were forced to wait for a long time for them!
And then there are those bluff masters who end up pleasing some good authority figure by their bluff. And they get a GodFather who is fool enough not to understand the bluff.
I know many who are really good and brilliant, but just because they could never do any bluff or could not open the car doors, are still waiting to see the real success in their life, in their career. Let’s hope all such folks will get their GodFather and help them to get everything they deserve and lead them on a path of success, before it’s too late…
