Speak up!
I was waiting at the reception of the restaurant to collect parcel. My back was facing entrance. I felt someone entering the restaurant. I moved few steps sideways to give him some space.
That person stopped and said, “Bhai”
I turned back.
“Wow, long time”
“Yeh, more than one year”
“How are you?”
“I am doing well! You tell me!”
“Am also good”
“So how is work?”
“As usual! Nuthing has changed. And college?”
“Ekdam badhiya”
“You first give order and we will talk”
…
“So long time man. No sms, no phone!”
“I thought you were busy and got a feeling that I am bothering you. So stopped that”
“And I thought you were buzy with your college and new friends. So I thought of not disturbing you.”
“But I was not that much buzy with college”
“Neither was I buzy with work”
“Looks like thoda jyada hi soch rahe the hum loog”
“Haan”
“Thoda jyada hi assumptions hoo gaya!”
“Haan sach much !”
“May be, one of us should have tried to verify our assumptions!”
“True!”
“Sir Parcel ready haai”
“So, keep in touch. Let’s not assume too much and keep in touch!”
“Haan bhai, will call you tomorrow. Lets meet at Monginese at 7:00”
“Call me before you start”
“Yup, will do that”
“Bye”
“Bye”
Sometimes we assume a lot about few relations. And that creates problems. We should avoid taking things from granted or assuming too much. Speaking out our mind is better than thinking too much and forming assumptions without proper base of facts!
So stop thinking and “Speak Up” before it’s too late!
